Inspect HLA (Hydraulic Last Adjuster)

• Perform the procedure with the cylinder head cover removed. (See TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL].)

HLA (HYDRAULIC LASH ADJUSTER) INSPECTION

1.Press the rocker arm down and verify that the HLA does not go down.

• If the HLA goes down, replace it. (See HYDRAULIC LASH ADJUSTER (HLA) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL].)
