Generator Drive Belt

Note

• The generator drive belt does not have to be replaced because fraying of the generator drive belt does not affect the performance.

1.Inspect the inner and outer sides of the belt for wear, damage, or cracks visually or by touching with a hand.

• If any minor wear, damage, or crack is found, replace the generator drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL].)

2.Inspect the drive belt tension.

• If there is insufficient tension, adjust it.

― If the adjustment does not provide enough tension, replace the generator drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL].)

Water Pump Drive Belt

Note

• The water pump drive belt deflection/tension inspection is not necessary with the adoption of the stretch-type water pump drive belt.

1.Inspect the inner and outer sides of the belt for wear, damage, or cracks visually or by touching with a hand.

• If any minor wear, damage, or crack is found, replace the water pump drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL].)

2.Switch the main power ON (READY ON) and verify that no abnormal noise is generated.

• If abnormal noise occurs, replace the water pump drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL].)
