FRESH-AIR DUCT VALVE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Vehicles with fresh-air duct valve actuator
Note:
– The fresh-air duct valve actuator cannot be disassembled and inspected because it is integrated with the rollover valve welded to the fresh-air duct.
1. Remove the fresh-air duct.

Operation inspection
Verify that valve of the fresh-air duct is in the closed position with the ignition switched OFF.

Start the engine and verify that valve A of the fresh-air duct is driven to the open position immediately after the engine start.
– If this operation cannot be verified, replace the fresh-air duct.

THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Location of use: Throttle body
Steps:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Open the engine cover.
3. Remove the left wall (front).
4. Remove the following parts as a single unit.
– Air cleaner.
– Fresh-air duct.
– Air hose.
5. Remove the resonance chamber.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
8. Add engine coolant.

Water hose remove note
1. Disconnect the water hose from the throttle body and quickly plug the water hose.

Resistance inspection
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the throttle body connector.
